Seminar for mountainous culture and information development:
More effective, practical measures proposed

The seminar for the mountainous culture and information development in Binh Dinh was held on August 8 in An Lao district. Representatives of Binh Dinh province committee of the Party’s Department of propaganda and training, Public Relations Department, the Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front in Binh Dinh, bodies and agencies, and mountainous district’s People’s Committee attended the seminar.

At the seminar, 10 out of 22 speeches were delivered. Most of them focused on issues of the mountainous culture and information development, such as: the preservation of ethnic minorities’ cultural and traditional values, policies for the mountainous culture and information development, difficulties in building bases for the ethnic minorities’ culture, and the improvement of the quality and effectiveness for those who work in this field.

Also, at the seminar, many suggestions and solutions for the development of the mountainous culture and information in the coming time were discussed. Accordingly, Binh Dinh province People’s Committee need to promulgate prior policies for artisans and the prestigious elderly to uphold their roles in preserving cultural institutions. The personnel working for the mountainous culture and information should be trained to improve their qualifications; besides, the construction of cultural bases need to be socialized and traditional festivals of each ethnic minorities should be better organized.
