Only when watching in person matches in the final round of the one-on-one event in the 2007 traditional martial arts championship on September 2 can we have the feeling of utmost happiness of being a person living on the land of martial arts.
On the grandstand in the Le Trung Kien sporting event hall in Tuy Hoa city of Phu Yen province, the audience enthusiastically cheered as Binh Dinh’s athletes were competing. Partly thanks to this, all five Binh Dinh’s athletes defeated competitors coming from Ho Chi Minh City, Bac Giang, and Military to win five gold medals in the final round. “I rather worried after athletes had only won bronze medals on September 1. I was surprised by five winning matches in the final round on September 2,” said head coach of Binh Dinh team, Bui Trung Hieu.
Compared with the 2006 tournament when Binh Dinh only won four silver medals in the performance event, Binh Dinh’s athletes won four gold and six silver medals in this year’s tournament.
It can be said that Binh Dinh traditional martial arts reaped gold medals in the 2007 traditional martial arts. This is thanks to the efforts of athletes and coaches, let alone My Tai Co., Ltd sponsoring Binh Dinh team for VND100 million.
