Solemnly celebrate 215th death anniversary of King Quang Trung

Binh Dinh province People’s Committee on September 10 solemnly held a ceremony at Quang Trung Museum (Tay Son district), marking the 215th death anniversary of King Quang Trung (1792-2007).

Binh Dinh provincial Party Committee Secretary cum Chairman of provincial People’s Council, Nguyen Xuan Duong; Member of Central Party cum Chairman of Binh Dinh province People’s Committee, Vu Hoang Ha; Vice-Chairwoman of Binh Dinh province People’s Committee, Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh; Vice-Chairman of Gia Lai province People’s Committee, Mang Dung; Vice-Chairwoman of An Khe town People’s Committee; former Dong Nai provincial Party Committee Secretary, Nguyen Thi Lien; representatives of other bodies and agencies attended the ceremony.

At the ceremony, Vice-Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh delivered a speech, commemorating King Quang Trung, whose victories are well-known in the national history.

She called on all provincial bodies and the people to promote the solidarity to overcome difficulties, upholding traditions for the national construction. The incense and flower offerings were then carried out at the statue of King Quang Trung and Tay Son three-hero-shrine.

After the ceremony, many activities took place at the Quang Trung Museum, such as: the performance of music of Tay Son martial art, Gong performance, and some Tuong (Vietnamese classical opera) plays about King Quang Trung and the Tay Son movement.
