New discoveries at Binh Lam tower

Binh Dinh Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism held a press conference, announcing the result of the archeological excavation at Binh Lam tower on October 31.

The excavation unearthed the brick foundation and foot of the tower. There were many sculptures around the foot revealed, according to Dr. Bui Chi Hoang.

Also, 91 broken pieces of relievos and stone statue of Naga snake were found in front of the tower. Architectural materials and many pieces made of porcelain and potteries were unearthed in the excavation.

The archaeological discoveries are expected to help identify the date and style of Binh Lam tower.
