Binh Dinh Tourism-Sports-Culture Department has worked with some typical martial arts clubs in martial arts villages to prepare for the second International Festival of Vietnam Traditional Martial Arts in 2008.
Foregin masters attending the upcoming festival will have a chance to visit martial arts villages in Binh Dinh. “We want participants to know more about unique features of Binh Dinh martial arts villages. We have worked with some about the restoration of typical ones in the past few days. We hope that when visiting these places, they will realize unique features of Binh Dinh martial arts villages,” said Vice Director of provincial Tourism-Sports-Culture Department, Le Van Minh.
The Organizing Board asked martial arts clubs to select techniques and typical performances with weapons to introduce to visiting masters.
The Organizing Board plans to cooperate with Binh Dinh Broadcasting Station to make documentary on schools of martial arts and their own techniques.
In the working visit, a documentary on “Roi Thuan Truyen” has been made alongside the orientation for the operation of martial art clubs.
The most typical martial arts villages and clubs in Tay Son, An Nhon, and Tuy Phuoc Districts would be restored, Minh added. The Organising Board will aid the restoration.
The second International Festival of Vietnam Traditional Martial Arts is expected to attract more than 1,000 participants coming from over 40 countries and territories as well as 500 nationwide.
Taking place within the framework of Tay Son-Binh Dinh 2008 Festival, this is an opportunity to make Binh Dinh become well known.
