The 2008 Tay Son-Binh Dinh Festival plans to start by early August. Of many “pre-festival” programs, the food and drink festival, taking place from July 27 to August 3, is expected to honor the cultural traditions, including the culture of food and drink.

Recently, Huong Que Food Production and Trade Co., Ltd has improved its products, making the brand name become popular.
At the food and drink festival taking place within the framework of Tay Son-Binh Dinh Festival, it will display some Binh Dinh’s specialties, such as fermented pork roll, dried beef, Song Than rice vermicelli, girdle cake with coconut milk, rice spaghetti (cooked with shrimp, crab, or meat), and other specialties.
Huong Que aimed to introduce specialties of the land of martial arts to domestic and foreign visitors on the occasion of the festival, said Director of Huong Que Company, Nguyen Tuyet Hoa.
Its two stalls will be designed with thatch and bamboo to leave tourists with good impression.
Under the steering of provincial People’s Committee, Binh Dinh Trade Promotion Center has carried out preparations for the event, with the focus on food and drink festival. The center also invited enterprises to display their food and drink at the festival, according to Van Huu Dinh, director of the center.
So far, nearly 20 enterprises have registered to participate in the festival. Sai Gon-Quy Nhon Beer JSC will hold a “beer fest” on an area of 600 sq.m. Binh Dinh Bau Da Wine Association will also join the event with 6 stalls.
Hai Au (seagull) hotel will also introduce tourists to Binh Dinh’s specialties like Cho Huyen pork roll, glutinous rice cake (filled with meat or green bean paste), fine rice vermicelli, sea products, and other food. Other small restaurants will participate it the festival with their own dishes.
The festival is expected to attract the participation of bodies and agencies coming from other provinces. Dak Lak, Ha Tinh, and Kon Tum are three of many provinces participating in the festival to introduce their specialties.
The program is to take place together with the traditional craft villages festival. This will include specialties of three regions, promising an impressive and attractive event.
