The delegation led by Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh paid a working visit in Binh Dinh. At the meeting with provincial People’s Committee, participants stated many practical and valuable suggestions.
* Hoang Tuan Anh, Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism:
Binh Dinh martial arts should be nominated as intangible cultural heritage.
Binh Dinh has many unique cultural heritages that need best preservation. With unique cultural features, I think that Binh Dinh martial arts should be nominated as the world’s intangible cultural heritage.
Also, the martial arts need to be recognized as the key sport to develop by opening schools of martial arts and holding more martial arts competitions. These will be able to make Binh Dinh martial arts become more popular nationwide and worldwide.
A master plan of tourism should be developed to ensure a long-term development. Schools to train the human resources for tourism also need to open. This will help build Binh Dinh as a key tourism site in the central region in the future.
The upcoming Tay Son-Binh Dinh Festival is expected to be a cultural and tourism product for not only Binh Dinh but the whole country. The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism will, therefore, help Binh Dinh to successfully hold the event. Surely, the image of Binh Dinh will be enhanced then.
* People’s Artist Le Tien Cuong, Director of Department of Performing Arts:
Tay Son – Binh Dinh Festival must create its own features
The most important thing is that Tay Son – Binh Dinh Festival must create its own features and highlight; otherwise, it will be boring and unattractive.
Of activities taking place in the festival, the beauty contest is a noticeable event. If it is held successfully for the first time, we will be able to develop it later. But, firstly, it has to create distinctive features.
I absolutely support the participation of international delegation in the second international festival of traditional Vietnamese martial arts. The opening ceremony also needs new ways of performing.
* Deputy Chief Nguyen Duc Tuan:
Temple of Princess Huyen Tran should be built
Binh Dinh is one of Champa’s centers. The princess Huyen Tran was married to Che Man here. Cham towers in Binh Dinh have unique values. To be recognized as the world’s cultural heritage, it must have highlight.
Princess Huyen Tran temple, for example, can be built in Binh Dinh. Together with Champa historical vestiges, it is expected to become an attractive destination for domestic and foreign tourists.
