The opening ceremony of traditional Tuong (Vietnamese classical drama) festival took place at Binh Dinh Information-Culture Center, Quy Nhon City on July 25.
Secretary of provincial Party Committee cum Chairman of Binh Dinh Province People’s Committee Vu Hoang Ha; other provincial leaders; and Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Le Tien Tho attended the ceremony.
Speaking at the ceremony, Tho affirmed that the festival aimed to honor the traditional Tuong art preserved for generations.
This was an opportunity for artists to share experiences, contributing to the development of traditional Tuong art.
Vice Chairwoman Binh hailed delegations and participants, saying that Binh Dinh had the honor of holding the traditional Tuong festival, one of key festivities in Tay Son – Binh Dinh Festival 2008.
The closing ceremony of traditional Tuong festival planned to be held on July 30.
