The Mid-Autumn Festival 2008 was held in September 13. Permanent Deputy Secretary of provincial Party Committee Pham Van Thanh and the others joined the festival with children.
Many programs took place during the event, including lion dance and art performances. Benefactors and enterprises contributed to Binh Dinh sponsoring fund for children.
Also, 300 children were presented gifts on the occasion of Mid-Autumn Festival.
Dong Tam Social Sponsoring Center on September 12 held a festival for diabled children and orphans. Its students performed many shows in the festival. Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam presented gifts to the handicapped.
Binh Dinh Social Sponsoring Center held many activities for children living there in two days (Sep.13-14). They also participated in some interesting competitions. There are now 59 orphans and disabled children living in the center.
A Mid-Autumn festival was also held in Phu Cat District on September 12 with the participation of Deputy Minister of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Welfare Dam Huu Dac, provincial Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh attended the ceremony. More than 500 presents were given to children.
A similar festival was held in Hoai Hai Commune of Hoai Nhon District. Over 1,500 children and local people came to enjoy programs.
