Nguyen Tieu Poetry Night held in Binh Dinh

Nguyen Tieu Poetry Night was held in Binh Dinh on Feb. 9, responding to the 7th Vietnam Poetry Day. Provincial Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh and many people attended the poetry night.

Artists of Dao Tan Tuong (Vietnamese classical drama) Theatre started the event with a drum performance.

Participants then enjoyed the famous poem “Nguyen Tieu” (‘Lantern festival’) by Uncle Ho and many works themed Quang Trung-Nguyen Hue, Uncle Ho, and the country.

A meeting with artists and poets in Binh Dinh had been held on Feb. 9. Winners in Nguyen Tieu Poetry Contest 2009 and Binh Dinh Art Photography Competition 2009 were awarded at the meeting.

A photography and calligraphy exhibition opened on the occasion of Vietnam Poetry Day.
