Binh Dinh Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism on April 9 held a press conference on the third excavation of Duong Long towers carried out by the province’s Relic Management Board and the Center for Archeological Research, under the Southern Institute of Sustainable Development.

The excavation unearthed the brick foundation behind the complex. On the western side of the towers, archaeologists discovered two square architectural works. On the first work found a square altar bearing a brick Yoni.

700 sandstone carvings and priest sculptures were also dug up.

The excavation partly contributed to identify the overall planning of Duong Long towers, helping the restoration of the complex in the future.
