Many events to take place, marking 1000th anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi

The Prime Minister has signed a decision to approve the programme to mark the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi in 2010.

There will be five great events in 2010 associated with the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long Hanoi. They are activities to welcome the new year 2010 and the 8th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (Feb.3); the death anniversary of Hung King on the 10th day of the 3rd lunar month in 2010; the 35th anniversary of southern liberation (Apri.30); the 120th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday (May.19); the 65th anniversary of the August Revolution (Aug.19) and the National Independence (Sep.2).

Binh Dinh plans to hold many events, including “Dao Mai tuong ngo” (peach and apricot blossom meets each other) and “Sac xuan dang Bac” (the beauty of spring for Uncle Ho) programs during the Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday.

Also, the second Tay Son-Binh Dinh Festival and the international festival of traditional martial arts will take place next year, let alone other activities.
