New archaeological discoveries in Binh Dinh

Vietnam Institute of Archaeology held a meeting in Ha Noi, informing new archaeological discoveries.

Among 424 discoveries about Stone Age, Iron Age as well as Champa and Oc Eo culture, many new discoveries were found in the central province of Binh Dinh, including discoveries at Duong Long towers, Champa civilization in Binh Dinh, documentation about Nguyen Duy Duong.

Also, there were some reports presenting ceramic vases found in Thi Nai lagoon, ancient cannons, and results of archaeological excavation of Duong Long towers.

New discoveries at Duong Long towers attracted the participants’ attention. Dr Tong Trung Tin, head of Vietnam Institute of Archaeology, said Duong Long towers still needed excavating.
