Tuong festival to be held in Binh Dinh

The national festival of traditional Tuong (Vietnamese classical drama), jointly held by the Arts Performing Department under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Vietnam Stage Artists Association, is scheduled to take place in Quy Nhon from November 20-25.

Many Tuong troupes nationwide will join the festival, such as Vietnam Tuong Theatre, Dao Tan Tuong Theatre, and Hue Royal traditional art theatre. Some famous plays, including “Tram Trinh An”, “Dao Tam Xuan loan trao”, or “Ngon lua Hong Son”, are expected to be performed at the event.

The participating troupes will mainly perform ancient Tuong plays. Also, actors and actress who will join the festival must not be older than 40.
