Many central and provincial officials attended the ceremony.
The museum’s main entrance was decorated with series of drums and nine cannons arranged along two sides from Canh Bridge to the Tay Son Tam Kiet Shrine, let alone 200 soldiers standing outside the entrance.
The flower-offering ceremony had taken place in front of the statue of Emperor Quang Trung before the incense offering ceremony was held at the Tay Son Tam Kiet shrine.
A series of activities marking the 221st anniversary of Ngoc Hoi – Dong Da Victory and heralding the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long – Ha Noi then took place at the stage in front of the entrance.
Various activities, such as gong performance, boat race, and folk games, have been held until February 18.
