Also, a meeting will be held for the cultural exchange among literature clubs, aimed at promoting the love for poetry in localities.

“We’ve tried to organize a cultural event in Quy Nhon to celebrate the Vietnamese Poetry Day,” Chairman of Xuan Dieu Literature Club, Quang Khanh, said. “The event was sponsored by some companies and benefactors.”

The Nguyen Tieu Poem Night is scheduled to open at 7.30 pm tonight. After the opening ceremony, hundreds of excellent lines of poetry are expected to be released to the sky.

The Uncle Ho’s “Nguyen Tieu” poem and Ly Thuong Kiet’s “Nam Quoc Son Ha” (mountains and rivers of the southern country) poem, which is considered the first “Vietnamese Declaration of Independence” will be recited at the poetry performance.

The program will be followed with many poems about spring, such as “Nu cuoi xuan” (spring’s smile) by Xuan Dieu, “Nho Ha Noi” (Missing Ha Noi) by Van Trong Hung, and “Ngay hoi Tay Son” (Tay Son festival) by Le Thu.
