The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism approved the proposal for the establishment of the International Federation of Vietnam traditional martial arts, said Vice Chairwoman of Binh Dinh Province People’s Committee, Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh, on July 13.
So far, over 100 foreign and local martial arts squads, including more than 1,000 instructors and practitioners, have registered to attend the third international festival of Vietnam traditional martial arts which is scheduled to be held in Quy Nhon city from August 1-4.
Among the programmes at the event, there will be some key activities, such as an exhibition displaying weapons and martial arts customs of Vietnam, flower and incense offering ceremony at the Quang Trung Museum, martial arts performances, and “Martial arts beauty”.
The event is part of the activities to celebrate the 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi
