103rd death anniversary of Dao Tan commemorated

An incense offering ceremony was jointly held by Tuy Phuoc district People’s Committee and Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism at Dao Tan worship hall in Vinh Thanh hamlet, Phuoc Loc commune on August 24, marking the 103rd death anniversary of cultural celebrity Dao Tan, who was honoured as a subsequent ancestor of Tuong (Vietnamese classical opera).

The ceremony followed traditional rules of rituals. The participants paid their tribute to the great talent and his huge contribution to Tuong.

The Dao Tan Tuong Theatre also performed Tuong plays at Vinh Thanh communal house, Phuoc Loc commune in 3 consecutive evenings, from August 23-25 as part of the commemorative activities.
