15:30', 5/9/ 2010 (GMT+7)

Three ancient stone axes dating back about 3,000 years were one of the most exciting finds unearthed during a fact-finding journey at Truong Xe, My Thang commune, Phu My district.

The axes may be a tool originated from the pre-Sa Huynh period and they were used for daily routine, according to archaeologist Lam Thi My Dung.

These are three of ten axes found in Binh Dinh so far.

Binh Dinh Museum and Ha Noi College of Social Sciences and Humanities will continue their journey, aiming to find more antiques in the province.
