When seeking wasted iron, two local divers found a cannon under the bottom of sea in Hai Giang area.

The cannon is 1.3 metres in length, believed to be used for warships.

It might be made in a Western country, according to director of Binh Dinh Museum Dinh Ba Hoa. The cannon is believed to be sunk during a fight between the Nguyen army and Tay Son troops in 1801.

This is the sixth cannon found on Thi Nai lagoon so far.
