Binh Dinh offers 200 ornament works to celebrate capital’s 1000th birthday

The Binh Dinh association for ornamental organisms will display 200 beautiful and unique ornament works in Ha Noi, said Vice Chairman of Vietnam association for ornamental organisms cum Chairman of the province’s association for ornamental organisms Nguyen Duy Quy.

The works will be displayed there during the celebration of 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long – Ha Noi.

Among them, 40 were made of precious stone like agate and quartz, of wooden core of secular tree stump, of fossil wood together with valuable ornament trees.

The most notable works of art include fossil wood sculpture of Emperor Quang Trung, agate miniature of Mot Cot (One Pillar) Pagoda and 3 bonsai trees.

One 100-year-old Benjamin tree with fine figure of 9 dragons which were competing together for a precious pearl was placed on 2 stone dragons. The 200,000-USD worth tree was grown by artisan Nguyen Duc Toan.

The rest two bonsai trees with dragon figures are worth over VND3 billion. Two artisans of Huynh Thanh Tuan and Vo Ru Bi are the growers of the two living works of art.

200 ornament works will be displayed at a 500 s.q meter yard of Vietnam Revolutionary Museum.

The fossil wood sculpture of Emperor Quang Trung was made by Hung Chinh Precious Stone Co., Ltd. This is biggest fossil wood work of art in Binh Dinh. It was 1.8m in height and 200 kg in weight, including the base and the trunk. The full-body sculpture was adapted from the statue of Emperor Quang Trung at Quang Trung Museum, said Director of Hung Chinh Company Nguyen Van Hung. The company had had 3 artisans make the work in four months.
