Stone yoni unearthed

The locals found a square-shaped stone yoni when working at the Cam Mountain in Binh Nghi commune, Tay Son district.

The stone yoni statue which is 0.66 m in width has a depression with a 1 cm-depth. It also includes a border running around and a drain trough and has no decorated patterns designs.

Unlike some yoni statues found before, its inside part is very shallow. It may be incomplete. Basing on its unique features, the stone yoni is believed to date back the 12th – 13th century.
