What is the purpose of the music festival?

The festival aims to gather the musicians living in the southern region, who are members of Vietnam Musicians’ Association, together. They will have a chance to share experiences and enjoy various activities. This will also be an opportunity to honor outstanding musicians.

The event was previously held in Vung Tau, Nha Trang, and Da Nang. This year’s festival is scheduled to take place from March 25-27, attracting 350 participants.

Which activities will be involved in the festival?

The festival will open at the provincial center of culture on Mar. 26 with many cultural exchanges performed by participating bodies. Also, a workshop will be held. The province is expected to provide inspiration for musicians.

The highlight of the event will be the art performance at the closing ceremony on Mar. 27, which is expected to be live broadcast on VTV3’s channel. The performance will consist of some new songs and the show performed by the HCM City Music Conservatory's symphony orchestra.

How about the preparation for the event?

Chairman of Vietnam Musicians’ Association Do Hong Quang and provincial Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh are heads of the steering board of the festival. The musician Tran Long An and the representative of Binh Dinh Literature and Art Association are heads of the organizing board.

The provincial Literature and Art Association was assigned to coordinate with Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism to prepare for the event.

The participants will pay for their travelling and their own preparations while the Vietnam Musicians’ Association will financially support the accommodation and the organization to some extent. Binh Dinh will be responsible for the rest.

What will the Binh Dinh Musicians’ Branch contribute to the festival?

The branch will prepare for receiving guests and organizing the programs. Its judging panel will select songs composed by 13 members to join the festival.
