The musician Tran Long An speaks at the press conference announcing the organization of the music festival.

The 11th national music festival is scheduled to take place in Quy Nhon city on March 26-27. The event is expected to create an opportunity for musicians to share experiences and bring art programs to local people.

As an initiative of HCM City’s Music Association, the festival is annually held in different localities since 2006 with the motto “Solidarity, innovation, creativeness”. It is also a festival for musicians, helping them honor new works.

“The festival was really successful when being hosted in Can Tho, Nha Trang, and Da Nang,” said the musician Tran Long An. The upcoming event is, thus, expected to attract musicians and artists coming from 30 cities and provinces.”

The festival will include art performances, cultural exchanges, and the introduction of new artistic works, according to the organizing board.

Many famous musicians coming from HCM City will bring their works to the event. Also, the local will have a chance to enjoy the performance of HCM City Music Conservatory's symphony orchestra for the first time, let alone performances showed by artists coming from Ba Ria – Vung Tau province.

One of main programs is a workshop on music composition and performance. Many musicians and experts are expected to join the workshop to share their ideas to each other.

Provincial Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh said the festival would be an opportunity to popularize the province’s images and bring high quality music works to the locals.

The event will also make the first Vietnam forest product festival more successful, she added. The provincial leaders, hence, steered all relevant bodies to coordinate with Vietnam Musicians’ Association to successfully host the festival.

The province’s functional bodies have made every effort to prepare for the festival. The local musicians and artists also practised their performances which will be showed at the opening ceremony.

Many works of local musicians are also expected to be introduced during the event. The closing ceremony will be live broadcast on Binh Dinh Television Station’s channel.
