The 11th southern region music festival opened in Quy Nhon yesterday (March 26).
Some Central officials, provincial leaders, and many musicians coming from 23 provinces and cities in the region attended the opening ceremony of the festival.
The ceremony also included the performance of new works composed by participating musicians.
The workshop on the ethnic cultural aspects of music was held at Hai Au (Seagull) hotel on the same day.
The participants visited some famous relics and landscapes in Binh Dinh on Mar 27. An art performance took place in the evening of the same day, introducing the most interesting works, let alone a performance of HCM City Music Conservatory's symphony orchestra.
The festival ended on March 27.
