National Tuong festival closes

The National Tuong festival closed in Quy Nhon city on April 30. Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Le Tien Tho attended the closing ceremony.

The participating artists are honored at the closing ceremony.

The festival saw the participation of more than 300 young artists coming from 7 tuong troupes and Theatres in HCM City, Da Nang, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Hue, Thanh Hoa, and Ha Noi.

They performed 9 traditional Tuong plays, which has become typical ones of Tuong art, including Son Hau, That Hien Quyen, Ngon lua Hong Son, Dao Phi Phung, Luu Kim Dinh giai gia Tho Chau, Dao Tam Xuan loan trao, Chung Vo Diem, and Tram Trinh An.

The participating artists proved their effort and enthusiasm in performing their roles in such traditional plays, attracting many people to enjoy their performance.

The artists were honored with 43 medals, including 22 gold and 21 silver medals. Binh Dinh’s artists won 4 medals.

Three outstanding artists also received prizes at the closing ceremony.
