The martial arts clubs located at villages in Binh Dinh are the “soul” of the land of martial arts. Tour operators carried out a journey around some well-known clubs to seek tourism opportunities. This is an initial positive signs for the combination of tourism and martial arts.

The martial arts clubs in Binh Dinh still see some shortcomings if they are used to serve the tourism purposes as most of them lack the variety of facilities and not many people come here to practise martial arts.
Alongside these difficulties, the clubs were initially established not for tourism purposes; it is thus for them to attract tourists while some are located in areas which are not convenient for tourists’ journey.
The tour operators highly value the combination of tourism and martial arts and the representatives of martial arts also positively responded to the issue, aiming to popularize the local invaluable cultural heritage.
However, these are not enough to fully exploit the value of martial arts clubs.
If the martial arts clubs are used to serve the tourism purpose, it’s necessary to focus on the preservation and development of martial arts. The commercial factor shouldn’t be the main goal.
Martial arts clubs have played an important role in maintaining the tradition of Binh Dinh traditional martial arts; however, they haven’t been given special concern for further development due to the financial shortage.
The combination of tourism and martial arts clubs requires concern from functional bodies, aiming to build a specific plan for the tourism development in parallel with the preservation of martial arts clubs.
Martial arts master Le Xuan Canh says, “We are always ready to serve tourists as this is an effective way to popularize the traditional martial arts. It is a pity that the club is not spacious.”
“We only need a bigger area for performance and the financial support for martial arts practitioners to better serve tourists,” said Master Phi Long Vinh.
