The street band perform at the fair.

Visiting the high-quality Vietnamese product fair taking place in Quy Nhon last week, many visitors were attracted to international songs performed by a street band at a small stage.

The band includes 6 members who share same passion with instrumentalist Nguyen Anh Binh for jubilant international pieces of music. They are Anh Binh (saxophonist), Ngoc Anh (organist), Van Nhan (guitarist and drummer), Van Thang (guitarist), Luc Lang (violinist and mandolinist) and Thanh Hung (pianist).

“Our band is established under the sponsorship of Binh Dinh Labour Cultural House. We choose the name “street band” because we aim to mainly play at public places, where the instrumentalists are able to find harmony with the public through music,” Anh Binh explained. “We select nearly 50 pieces of famous international music to arrange 3 concerts.”

The very first performance of the band at the fair was a success. It brought newness to the populous songs. Audience at various ages were really satisfied with the live concerts. Some even filmed the performances with their cell phones to keep as impressive records and share with others.

The band expects to perform at many public places to bring the music to different kinds of audience and raise fund for victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin through a performance at the Labour Cultural House.
