The Binh Dinh culture-sport festival for ethnic minority groups is to officially start on July 12 but the bustling atmosphere has spread across the mountainous district of Vinh Thanh in the past days.

The participants are practicing for the festival

The preparation for the festival has been carried out for nearly one month. About 100 athletes and artists actively praised so that they will be ready to perform well at the festival.

“Although the harvest is coming, all participants are always ready to gather for practice,” said Dinh Y Oai, an official of Vinh Thanh district. “As a host district, we are expected to successfully organize the festival and gain the best results.”

Coming to Vinh Thanh on these days, people could see many hoardings and banners displaying the images of the upcoming festival.

Still, the members of the organizing board also faced some difficulties when receiving more than 500 athletes and artists. The participants will be offered accommodation in the precincts where the festival is held, according to Huynh Duc Bao, deputy head of the organizing board.

As planned, the opening ceremony will be held impressively, featuring the distinctive cultural features of ethnic minority groups in Binh Dinh. There will be Gong performance, folk art program, and the performance of traditional clothes worn by participants of districts of Vinh Thanh, An Lao, Van Canh, and Hoai An.
