Visiting wind energy turbines |
Of five Vietnamese engineers selected by Fuhrländer AG to experience the wind power technology in Germany in 100 days, there are four coming from the central province of Binh Dinh. Below are their thoughts after coming back.
Le Quang Hai, group leader, born in 1978: We are all engineers graduating from HCM City University of Technical Education. We were fortunate to be selected to study the wind power technology in Germany which is the world leading manufacturer of wind energy turbines.
Sources of alternative energy are given priority in developed countries because they are environmentally friendly energy sources ensuring the sustainable development.
Binh Dinh is one of provinces having potential for the wind power development. We are proud of being first Vietnamese engineers experiencing the new technology. Our German colleagues helped us a lot when we were there.
We will participate in the installation of wind energy turbines in the central province of Binh Thuan next month. We are happy to be highly valued after a short cooperation.
Fuhrländer AG and Vietnam’s partners are expected to have many opportunities for further cooperation when a wind energy turbine manufacturer is built in Vietnam in the future.
Tran Vinh Thong, born in 1985: I was left with the impression that Germany is an environmentally friendly country. We could easily see wind energy turbines in wheat fields or forests.
The Germans are famous for their iron discipline. They work with high self-discipline but are still friendly. If you ask for something they don’t know, they will have an expert in that field help you. We, therefore, learnt quickly.
Le Nhat Khang, born in 1983: Alongside the environment, I was impressed with a good traffic system. It took only 6 hours to travel by car from West Germany to East Germany (with nearly 1,000 km). What surprised me most was hundreds of turbines in the wind park. We worked with German colleagues in the winter. After nearly two months, turbines have operated to generate the wind energy. When watching them operating, we wished to see them in Vietnam in the coming time.
Huynh Ninh Bao, born in 1979: Studying in Germany helped us a lot. German colleagues were enthusiastic about “teaching” us. They asked the owner of the company to extend our probationary period in Germany. He then had a talk with the State governor about the issue.
When we held a farewell party, he also cancelled three important meetings to join us.
