Exports of sport shoes and leather products to South Africa reached US $29.5 million in the January-November period, up 48% against the same period last year.
This is quite a high growth in comparison with the average annual export growth to South Africa of 20% in recent years.
Currently, Vietnam’s leather and footwear exports to South Africa only account for nearly 4% of South Africa’s total leather and footwear import turnover. With a good export prices to South Africa, this will be an attractive market for Vietnamese exporters.
