HCM City stock exchange corrects technical errors
11:49', 10/12/ 2006 (GMT+7)

Technical errors which caused a halt to operations of the Ho Chi Minh City Securities Trading Centre (HoSTC) had been repaired, making ready for the next trading session on Dec. 11, said HoSTC Director Tran Dac Sinh on Dec. 9.

The errors were blamed for the failure from the previous day of the software which is used to provide real-time information for investors on digital, said Sinh.

Despite being upgraded for three times, the centre's system has still been overloaded due to its rapid development.

To avoid similar problems, the State Securities Commission is carrying out a project to install new equipment and software for the centre. The project is scheduled to be completed in 18 months.
