GDP rises by 8.17 percent in 2006

This year's national gross domestic product (GDP) saw a year-on-year rise of 8.17 percent, said the General Statistics Office (GSO), adding the industry and construction sector had contributed 4.16 percentage point.

The services sector made up 3.34 percentage point and the agro-forestry and fisheries sector accounted for 0.67 percentage point, the GSO disclosed.

Economic structure saw an increase in the proportion of industry, construction and services and reduction in the proportion of agro-forestry and fisheries.
