The complete set of works on the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), which was published in September, is of paramount importance and great significance to Vietnam, said Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh at a conference in Hanoi on October 13.
Mr Manh told book compilers and publishers that despite the huge amount of material, the books provide an accurate, objective and comprehensive account of the CPV over the past decades and are presented in a systematic and scientific ways. He said they will be very useful to Party members and the public, particularly young people, in the research and dissemination of information about the history of the Party, and for ideological education purposes.
He stressed that the books will help contribute to the ideological struggle within the Party and society and refute slanderous allegations about the Party.
The 54-volume set covers all the documents issued by the Party’s forerunner organisations and the Communist Party of Vietnam from 1924 to 1995. It took compilers 12 years to complete the books.
