876 candidates for 12th National Assembly published

National Assembly Election Council Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong on April 24 signed a resolution to make public a list of 876 candidates for the 12th National Assembly elections at 182 constituencies nationwide.

The roll was based on official lists set by the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Presidium and provincial and municipal Fatherland Front standing committees.

Under the Election Council’s resolution, the total number of deputies elected to the 12th National Assembly will not exceed 500.
