The central province of Ha Tinh reported massive deaths of water fowl stocks in Thinh Loc village, beginning at a duck farm owned by Le Doan Dung.
Four samples taken from dead water fowls farmed by Dung have tested positive to bird flu epidemic, said the provincial veterinary department.
The watchdog said it has launched the instant culling of Dung’s whole 2,300 strong water fowl stock as well as the disinfection of his farm and the neighbourhood.
Check points have also been set up in the vicinity of the region and a veterinarian staff sent out to Thinh Loc and surrounding villages to curb the spread of the epidemic, said the department.
Still more, the entire water fowl stocks of over 28,000 heads in Thinh Loc village has immediately been vacinated.
