The 5th plenum of the 10th Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee opened in Ha Noi, on July 5, with General Secretary of the Party Central Committee Nong Duc Manh delivering the opening address.
Topping the meeting’s agenda will be the renovation of the party's leadership, accelerating administrative reforms and increasing supervision and inspections within the Party.
The conference will also consider the ideological and theoretical work, the media industry, government apparatus streamlining and the leadership preparation at some State agencies.
Participants will hear reports presented by the Political Bureau on the results of important issues raised at the last meeting of the Party Central Committee.
