NA approves 12th Government line-up

The National Assembly (NA) on August 2 approved with a majority of votes in favour the appointment of five Deputy Prime Ministers, 22 ministers and heads of ministerial level agencies proposed by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.

The five Deputy Prime Ministers are Nguyen Sinh Hung, Pham Gia Khiem, Truong Vinh Trong, Hoang Trung Hai and Nguyen Thien Nhan.

Eighteen ministers and four heads of ministerial level agencies are:

Phung Quang Thanh, Minister of Defence,

Le Hong Anh, Minister of Public Security,

Pham Gia Khiem, Minister of Foreign Affairs,

Tran Van Tuan, Minister of Home Affairs,

Ha Hung Cuong, Minister of Justice,
Vo Hong Phuc, Minister of Planning and Investment,

Vu Van Ninh, Minister of Finance,

Vu Huy Hoang, Minister of Industry and Trade,

Cao Duc Phat, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development,

Ho Nghia Dung, Minister of Transport,

Nguyen Hong Quan, Minister of Construction,

Pham Khoi Nguyen, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment,

Le Doan Hop, Minister of Information and Communications,
Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Minister of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs,

Hoang Tuan Anh, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism,

Hoang Van Phong, Minister of Science and Technology,

Nguyen Thien Nhan, Minister of Education and Training,

Nguyen Quoc Trieu, Minister of Public Health,

Giang Seo Phu, Minister, Chairman of the Committee for Ethnic Minorities,

Nguyen Van Giau, Governor of the State Bank of Viet Nam,

Tran Van Truyen, Inspector General of the Government Inspectorate,

Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Minister, Director of the Government Office.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, on behalf of the new-term Government, delivered a taking-office speech right after the NA adopted the Resolution approving the appointment of Deputy Prime Ministers, ministers and other members of the Government.
