The number of foreign visitors from Asia continues to rise with visitors from Singapore up to 21,5%; China, 21% and Thailand, nearly 18%.

As a result, hotel room occupancy in the country's major tourism centres like Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang reached from 70 to 80%, especially on the occasion of festivals and anniversaries.

The tourism sector is building plans to streamline the procedures concerning registration of business on international travelling, intensify tourism promotion as well as improve tourism services and products diversification.
