Country receives 1.26 billion USD in ODA

Vietnam has so far this year signed agreements with donors valued at 1.26 billion USD, according to the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

Of the figure, 1.21 billion USD was loans and 49 million USD was non-refundable aid.

The largest loan signed was a 245-million-USD project to build the Hanoi belt road No. 3, followed by a project to improve water environment of Hue city worth 182 million USD.

A project to build the Ho Chi Minh City-Dau Giay section of the North-South Highway came in as the third largest project at 150 million USD.

Over the past four months, the country disbursed 343 million USD, equal to 18 percent of the yearly plan, with 270 million USD in loans and 73 million USD in non-refundable aid.

The disbursement included 225 million USD from the Japan Bank for International Cooperation, the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank.
