Leaders commemorate Ho Chi Minh’s birthday

A Party and State delegation led by Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh paid tribute to late President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum in Hanoi on May 17 on the occasion of his 119th birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2009).

Attending the ceremony is also former Party General Secretary Do Muoi, President Nguyen Minh Triet, former President Tran Duc Luong, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong and former NA Chairman Nguyen Van An and members of the Politburo, the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat and leaders from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee.

The delegation laid a wreath carrying a slogan ‘Forever be grateful to the great President Ho Chi Minh’.

On this occasion, delegations from various Party and State agencies, ministries and the Hanoi authorities, as well as from all walks of life paid homage to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum.
