AMM-43 and related meetings wrap up

Vietnam will continue to do its utmost and cooperate with other ASEAN member countries in implementing mutual tasks set for the remaining months of this year as well as in the future, said Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem.

Deputy PM Khiem was speaking at the closing ceremony of the 43 rd ASEAN Ministerial Meeting (AMM-43), the ASEAN Post Ministerial Conference with dialogue partners, and the 17th ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF), in Hanoi on July 23.

Throughout five days of sitting, the participants focused on discussing how to speed up the process of building the ASEAN Community, ensure ASEAN’s central role and promote peace and stability in the region, Deputy PM Khiem noted.

He said the participants also adopted specific measures to advance ASEAN toward transforming visions into action and building the ASEAN community as laid down in the group’s roadmap.

At the function, the host expressed thank to the participants for taking an active part and making valuable contributions to the success of these meetings.
