PM Dung inaugurates Can Tho Int’l Airport

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on Jan. 1 cut a ribbon to inaugurate the Can Tho International Aiport, which is capable of serving up to 5 million passengers a year.

Covering 20,750 sq. m in the Mekong delta city of Can Tho , the 3 trillion- VND airport meets required standards on services for both local and international flights.

Addressing the event, PM Dung said the Can Tho International Airport is significant to the Mekong delta’s economy, defence, security and international integration.

The airport provides a big opportunity for Can Tho city in particular and the southwestern area in general to make fast and sustainable development and helps facilitate air travel in the region, PM Dung said.
