CPV Central Committee convenes 15th meeting

The 15th meeting of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC) took place in Hanoi on January 9.

In his opening speech, Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh said following the 14th meeting on December 13-22, 2010, the Politburo has focused on directing all sectors and ministries to finalise preparations for the 11th National Party Congress slated for Jan. 12-19.

It also asked relevant agencies to complete all the documents to be submitted to the Congress as well as a personnel plan on alternative members of the 11th CPVCC, he added.

At this meeting, the Political Bureau asked the CPVCC to consider and decide on supplementary nominations for alternative members of the 11th CPVCC and nominees for the Presidium, the Secretariat and the committee for verification of delegate qualification of the 11th Party Congress.

The CPVCC meeting also considered a report on the personnel plan of the 11th CPVCC and a review report on the 10th CPVCC term to be submitted to the 11th National Party Congress.
