The export turnover of November 2006 is estimated to reach USD 23.4 million, a 26.5 % increase compared to the same period last year. Agricultural products make up USD 1.78 million (down 7.2 %); forestry products: USD 16.4 million (up 13.5%); sea products: USD 1.75 million (up 100%); construction materials and minerals: USD 1.53 million (up 71.9%); consumption goods: USD1.87 million (up 334 %).
So far this year, the total export turnover has been reported at about USD 212.9 million in the first eleven months of 2006, achieving 78.9 % of the target, a rise of 16.% over the same period last year.
The export turnovers of the local state-owned enterprises are estimated to reach USD 31.8 million; of the private enterprises are USD 139.2 million; of the three central state-owned enterprises in Binh Dinh Province are USD 33.8 million and of the five foreign invested enterprises are USD 7.9 million (making up 3.7% of the total export turnover, 6% up over the same period last year).
The import turnover of November 2006 reaches about USD 9.3 million, a decrease of 29.5% over the same period last year. The total import turnover in the first eleven months of 2006 has reached about USD 94.9 million, 9.6% down over the same period last year.
