In the morning of  the 28^th December, shares of Binh Dinh Minerals Joint Stock Company - BIMICO (BMC) officially listed and  transacted in HCM City Securities Trading Centre. BIMICO issues common shares with VND10.000 (6.2 cent) face value. The listed stocks was totally worth over VND13.1 billion (USD 818,750). At close of the first session, BIMICO debuted at VND50.000 (USD3.1), 5 times higher than its listed face value.

BIMICO was reportedly established in conformity with Enterprise Law and Decision No. 09/QĐ-UB dated 8^th January 2001 issued by Binh Dinh Province People's Committee on  transformation State-owned enterprises into joint-stock companies. BIMICO specializes in exploiting, processing and purchasingminerals such astitanium ore mineral sand, other ores and minerals. Its also has function ofsupporting for exploiting minerals, technologically checking and  analysingof ores and minerals, etc.

During the last years, BIMICO has been effectively performed its business. Dividend ratio reaches 30% per year. At present, BIMICO ispromoting construction of a titanium slagrefinement plant and a zircon fine grindingfactory tostrengthen its procesing capacity and boost its export value. Out of the total investment, the titanium slagrefinement plant takes accounts more than VND 30 billion (USD1.875 million) while  the zircon fine grindingfactory is worth VND 4 billion (USD250,000). The plant is expected to be finished and put into operation in early 2007 and the factory in late 2007 respectively.
