5,300 m3 of timber of Phu Tai Joint-stock Co. was reportedly sunken by sea waves from deck of Malaysian WM Benefit Plus II barge on 4th December 2006. The barge ran aground and broke into 2 parts at BaiDaiBeach, Ghenh Rang Ward, QuyNhonCity, BinhDinhProvince.

“Binh Dinh Province People's Committee issued an offical document, directing relevantbodies and agencies to help Phu Tai Co. lift the WM Benefit Plus II barge ashore. However, no effective mission has been operated so far. Owner of the barge wants to retain crane, causing a lot of difficulties for unloading the timber. The Post Office Insurance Co. has  had no strong action to compensate the owner of the timber” said Mr. Le Vy, Director of Phu Tai Joint-stock Co., owner of amount of sunken timber on the 11st January.
