Maersk Logistics Vietnam Co., Ltd.
Inaugurate Binh Dinh Branch

According to Binh Dinh Province Investment Promotion Centre, Maersk Logistics Vietnam Co., Ltd. has just inaugurated a branch at SacombankBuilding, 98 Mai Xuan Thuong Street, QuyNhonCity, BinhDinhProvince.

Maersk Logistics Vietnam Co., Ltd. is the first  100% foreign-owned logistics company (Denmark)  in field of ocean freight has been granted business permission to operate in Vietnam. The company has headquarter in Ho Chi Minh City and 4 branches in Ha Noi, Hai Phong, Da Nang and QuyNhonCities. Maersk Corporation has just got an approval by Vietnam Government to implement a joint-venture project with SaiGonPort partner. Accordingly, Cai Mep, a 950-TEU-yearly-capacity container deep-water port at Ba Ria-Vung Tau will be built. Total investment of the project is worth USD185 million. The port will expectedly have been put into operation by 2009.

Most of prestigious local and international logistics and ocean forwarding companies have opened their offices or branches in BinhDinhProvince. Participation of Maersk Logistics Vietnam Co. in ocean freigtht service market through QuyNhonPort partly means one more option of better satisfaction for increasing import-export demand of BinhDinhProvince and other central highland provinces in Vietnam.
