Glaucoma patients receive free eye care

Binh Dinh Ophthalmology Center has provided free eye test and care for Glaucoma patients from Oct. 15-25, initially aiming at reducing side effects causing blindness and raising awareness upon Glaucoma, the second cause of blindness following cataracts, among the community.

As planned, doctors have diagnosed 2,000 patients believed to suffer Glaucoma. Also about 200 patients have received free eye test and treatment.

The total expenditure is sponsored by Australian-based Fred Hollows Foundation.

The campaign will take place in districts of Phu Cat, Tuy Phuoc, Hoai Nhon in the coming time.

Binh Dinh Ophthalmology Center also provided free diagnosis and treatment for more than 100 cataract patients in the past two days.
