Nhon Hoi Economic Zone (EZ) Administration on November 12 held a meeting with the supervision delegation of the permanent People's Council of Binh Dinh.
At the meeting, head of Nhon Hoi EZ Administration, Man Ngoc Ly, reported the conduction of Nhon Hoi EZ construction. Although being newly established, Nhon Hoi EZ has attracted many domestic and foreign investors. 13 projects worth VND10,443 billion (US$652 million) have been granted investment licenses, of which 4 were kicked off.
Ly asked for more cooperation among localities and functional bodies to effectively carry out tasks of the social-economic development in the 2006-10 period, the allocation of expenditure for planning, compensation, ground clearance, and the increase of human forces for Nhon Hoi EZ Administration.
Also, reports showed drawbacks of the planning, ground clearance, and slow progress of some projects. Nhon Hoi EZ Administration, local authorities, and functional bodies haven't closely cooperated.
Vice Chairman of provincial People's Council cum head of supervision delegation, Nguyen Ngoc Tro, asked leaders of Nhon Hoi EZ Administration to provide timely reports for provincial leaders and promote the administrative reform.
